to us this year is our line of shad style jigs for casting and jigging
for Tuna. Capt Adam had School sized Bluefin in mind when he came
up with these. All Tuna jigs are made by us with Stainless thru wire
construction for durability and strength.
Available in two tone Candy paint combinations blue/white orange/white, and
purple/white. These jigs will be sure to get you on the bite!!!

Our shad Jigs also work well for Stripers/Bluefish and in shallower waters for bottom fish as well. Truly a jig for all occasions!!!
Jigs come in a 4oz and a 6oz size.
Hooks are all H.D. Mustad Siwash single jig hooks.

Cedar Plugs are a time tested lure for tuna.

Cedar plugs are best trolled right off the rod
close to the transom of the boat
{30 to 50Ft}.
As an option our cedar plugs can be rigged with 150lb leaders
and a H.D. Mustad 10/0 hook.
Cedar plugs are sold as singles or in a kit.

The Green Machine
has accounted for more Tuna than any other lure ever used. Trolled fast off an
outrigger or as a flat line lure you should have at lease one of these in your
trolling spread.

Our Squid spreader rigs are built and designed by Capt Adam himself for the School Bluefin fishery{Footballs} off of the Maine Coast but can be used anywhere Tuna are feeding on the surface on Mackerels, Herrings etc. These rigs are designed for 30 to 130 lb class tackle trolled in the 3 to 9 kt range. We Make a Standard 15 Squid rig with 6in squids for these fish. We also make Custom Squid rigs for Giant Tuna please call for details about these rigs.
All our squid rigs are made with H.D. spreader bars, 150 lb mono on the
teasers to prevent tangling, 300lb mono on the center hook leader, all
Rosco snaps and swivels and H.D. Mustad 7698b or 7731 trolling hooks on
the stingers. |

Our spreader bars are made of quality spring stainless steel to stay extended when trolling even at higher trolling speeds.
These bars are most effective off of out riggers or center riggers with only
the squids in the water NOT THE BAR OR THE LINE. Remember, Tuna have exceptional
eyesight.

Hook bait colors should be different then teaser colors.
e.g. Pink teasers/Purple/Black Stinger
As an option try a green machine as a Stinger hook bait for finicky Tuna.
All squid rigs come in a mesh bag for storage.
When fishing for fussy footballs our small squids
can make the difference between fresh Sushi or hot dogs for dinner. |
